Less well established Abba Tributes 

The most authentic Abba experience – pro bands will have spent years of research / watching & re-watching all available archive footage

Less realistic portrayal of Abba, much lower standards overall, less effort made to look & sound like the real thing. 

Pro acts will be the closest sounding tributes to Abba from years of emulating every intonation in their voices

Often no Swedish accents, barely any effort made to sound like Abba. Sometimes vocal parts are the wrong way round eg with Frida singing Agnetha’s part!

They will perform a well thought through & highly polished show with plenty of stage and audience interaction and fully choreographed dance routines

A band merely performing the songs as opposed to a show. No dance routines, not as slick. 

Chemistry between band members that comes from years of working together & confidence from years of experience

Some of the less established acts are known to put teams of deps (stand ins) together that have never even met before! 

Custom made backing tracks enhanced to make a bespoke & high quality show 

Karaoke tracks with poor sound quality from the small file sizes

Live pro level musicians – keyboards & guitarist. Performers who have made music their careers

Some poorer quality acts have musicians who mime to the backing tracks. Often semi pro - combining a day job with performing on a Saturday night

Hand-made replica costumes and multiple costume changes in each show 

Cheap e bay fancy dress outfits / not authentic copies of Abba’s outfits. One or two costumes max per gig

Extensive industry contacts with trained understudies so last minute high quality stand ins can be found for any emergencies etc 

Less reliability - may cancel shows if one member ill for example

State of the art sound and lighting with back up equipment in case of emergencies 

Low quality tinny sounding PA systems & either no stage lighting or poor lights. Often no provision for emergencies 

Public Liability Insurance for £10m and PAT tested equipment

 May not have these leaving you or your venue liable for any accidents / fire caused by equipment fault etc
